Carl Jeffries, 86, Metcalfe Co., KY (-2015)

He was a Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, farmer and member of the Pink Ridge Baptist Church

Carl Jeffries, age 86, of Edmonton, died Wednesday April 15, 2015 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Saturday at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Pink Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Cecil and Ada Cassady Jeffries. He was a Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, farmer and member of the Pink Ridge Baptist Church.

He is survived by
  • His wife Doris Christie Jeffries
  • One son Tony and wife Rita Jeffries of Edmonton and
  • A daughter Rita Kay Jeffries of Edmonton
  • One brother Ralph Jeffries of Louisville
  • Two grandchildren, Dakota Blake and Tara Renae Jeffries both of Edmonton
  • Two sisters in law, Betty Jeffries and Doris Jeffries.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Emily Perkins and Dorthy Mae Gaddie. Four brothers Finis, Edward, Phillip and Wendell Jeffries.

Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton is in charge of arrangements.
