Imojean M. Nelson, 85, Adair Co., KY (1929-2015)

She was a longtime resident of Columbia, KY, coming here when her husband became manager of the Columbia Oshkosh, B'Gosh plant. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Allons, TN. Her husband, Randall Nelson, survives. She leaves two direct living descendants. She will be laid to rest in Fellowship Cemetery her native Allons, TN. She was a homemaker.

Imojean M. Nelson, 85, of Columbia, Adair County, KY, was born Thursday, September 19, 1929, in Allons, Overton Co., TN. She was the daughter of the late I.B. and Iva Savage Hunter. She died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 9:30pmCT, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, Green County, KY, at the age of 85 years, six months, and 24 days.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 1pmCT, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2180 Willow Grove Hwy, Allons, TN with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery by the church. Visitation after 5pmCT, Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, and after 11amCT, Thursday at the church. There will be no visitation on Thursday at the funeral home.


Survivors include:
  • Her husband: Randall Nelson of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Wayne Nelson of Dublin, VA

  • One granddaughter: Ashley Nelson of Dublin, VA

  • Two brothers: Iwron Hunter and Illard J. Hunter both of Tennessee

  • Her former daughter-in-law: Kim Nelson of Staunton, VA

  • Several other relatives and friends
