Mrs. Fontella Ann Tucker, Taylor Co., KY (1944-2015)

She was an employee of Taylor Regional Hospital for 34 years. She was a member of the of the East Campbellsville Church of God. Her husband, William P. Bill Tucker, survives. She leaves 17 direct living descendants.

Mrs Fontella Ann (Chappel) Tucker was born on July 12, 1944 in Illinois into the marriage of James Murrel and Mary Katherine (Reed) Chappel. She entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2015 at her home in Campbellsville, KY. She was 70 years and 9 months of age.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Tucker at the East Campbellsville Church of God, 357 Eastport Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718 on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 9amCT/10amET. Bro. Robbie Spencer and Bro. Ben Spencer will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Chappel Cemetery, Highway 76, Knifley, KY 42753. The family will receive friends at the East Campbellsville Church of God on Wednesday, April 15, 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-8pmET.



Mrs. Tucker was the cherished wife of William P. "Bill" Tucker, who survives. She was employed at the Taylor County Hospital more than 34 years, where she worked as a ward clerk and nurses aid. Mrs. Tucker professed faith in Christ at an early age, and has been a faithful and encouraging member of the East Campbellsville Church of God over 42 years. Mrs. Tucker leaves to carry her legacy:
  • Her husband: Bill Tucker

  • Three sons and one daughter: Tony Tucker and wife Lisa, Tana Sapp, Trent Tucker and wife Marlene, and Trevor Tucker, all of Campbellsville, KY.

  • Two brothers and one sister: Harold Dean Chappel and wife Wilma of Illinois; Terry Eugene Chappel and wife Charlene of Colorado; and Wanda Bishop of Campbellsville, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Four great grandchildren

  • And a host of other close family and friends.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Tucker was also preceded in death by a brother, William Fleming Chappel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of donations to the East Campbellsville Church of God, and can be made here online, at the church during visitation, or at the L.R.
