Lisa Godsey thanks community for response of love for Michael

'Please know that we have every assurance that our God is going to heal Michael! The power of the God we serve is so much greater than anything Satan can throw at us, and we will praise Him in this storm! So praise and glory to our Almighty Father; who was, and is, and is to come! Hallelujah!! - LISA GODSEY

By Lisa Godsey

To all the dear people of Columbia and Adair County, as well as so many others that live in nearby and far away towns too numerous to mention, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! In the days since Michael's accident we have had the most incredible response of love from so many, many people.

Thank you for all the cards, visits, emails, texts, facebook messages, gifts, donations, that wonderful t-shirt (whoever designed that is amazing - I wear one every day here and I get 10 comments at least on it daily. WOW!)

We have had teachers step up to substitute in our classrooms, write our lesson plans, and even donate amazing amounts of sick leave time of their own.

I have no way to express my thanks to all of you because so many people have donated anonymously - so to the entire community I just wish a HUGE thank you!

I know that's inadequate, very much so, but I don't know what else to do!

An unsung hero that I have heard mentioned just a few times is Pat Coomer, who when she arrived on the scene stayed with Michael and held his hands so he was not alone.

Pat, I owe you more than I can ever repay, but know you are loved and appreciated so much. I cry EVERY time I think of him being alone and terrified, and you coming to pray with him! You are a superhero in my book, Pat!

Please know that we have every assurance that our God is going to heal Michael! The power of the God we serve is so much greater than anything Satan can throw at us, and we will praise Him in this storm! So praise and glory to our Almighty Father; who was, and is, and is to come! Hallelujah!! -Lisa Godsey
