Campbellsville/TC Rescue responds to possible Green R. drowning

Location is 8 miles downstream from Green River Dam

The Campbellsville/Taylor County Rescue has responded to a possible drowning report from the 8 mile point downstream from Green River Dam. Acccording to early reports, two canoeist were capsized due to high water and eject from the canoe. One surfaced, the other did not. We'll bring everyone up to date as soon as we learn more. The Green River below the dam can be dangerous because of a record or near record discharge through the dam. - Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shorelines Communications
