Mr. Dannie Paul (Jake) Dyer, Edmonton, KY (1943-2015)

He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of Metcalfe County at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Jeff Franklin and Macie Shaw Dyer. He was of Church of Christ faith and a construction worker and farmer.

Mr. Dannie Paul "Jake" Dyer, age 71, of Edmonton, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. Burial will be in the Leslie Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 4pmCT on Thursday, March 19, 2015 until the funeral hour on Friday.



Mr. Dannie Paul (Jake) Dyer, Metcalfe Co., KY (1943-2014)


He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Thursday, June 24, 1943, the son of Jeff Franklin and Macie Shaw Dyer. He died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the age of 71 years, eight months, and 22 days.

He was of Church of Christ faith and a Construction Worker and Farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Guy and Ethel Shaw and his brothers, Franklin Dyer, Terry Preston Dyer and James Edward Dyer.

He is survived by following:
  • His siblings: Shirley Beers, Jessie Ray "Flat Head" (and Suzie) Dyer of Albany, Kentucky, Margaret Vibbert of Burkesville, Kentucky, Josie (and Neal) Moss of Edmonton, Kentucky

  • His nieces and nephews, Connie, Joyce, Johnny Lee, Russell, Debbie, Sarah, Karen, Donnie, Ricky, James, Lori, Bo, Justin, Amy, Jennifer, Pam, Terry, Michael, Ryan, Ashley

  • And several great-nieces and great-nephews
