Elizabeth Joyce Tucker Steward, 77, Adair Co., KY (1937-2015)

'She was a member at Trinity Life Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Joyce grew up as a Pastor's daughter, and then married a Pastor and ministered alongside her husband and son throughout their lives. She loved to sing, play the piano and accordion. Her life impacted the lives of many others throughout this time of ministry and throughout her entire life. She will be greatly missed.' She was the daughter of the late Genus & Elizabeth Mae Tucker, and the widow of Rev. Jack Lee Steward. She leaves three direct living descendants.

Elizabeth Joyce Tucker Steward age 77 of Lexington, Kentucky passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will begin at 10:30amCT, with the funeral beginning at 2pmCT at the home. Rev. Ed Machan will be the officiating clergy. Interment in the Freedom Cemetery, in Adair County at 576 Freedom Church, Russell Springs, KY



Pallbearers: Peter Condes, Charlie Roy, Ronnie Bryant, Steve Roy, Lonnie Devore and David Kinnett.

Elizabeth Joyce Tucker Steward, 77, Adair Co., KY (1937-2015)

She was born on September 7, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of Genus and Elizabeth Mae Tucker. She died Tuesday, March 17, 2015, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 77 years, six months, and eight days.

She was preceded in death by husband, Rev. Jack Lee Steward; her mother and father, her sister Phyllis Jean Tucker, and her only son, Anson Genus Lee Steward.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her three granddaughters, who were the joys of her life: Elizabeth Georgia Anne Steward, Victoria Grace Breanne Steward and Isabella Pearl Leanne Steward

  • Her daughter-in-law: Brenda Deaton Steward

  • Her very special brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Peter and Jane Condes

  • And many nieces, nephews, and cousins
