Mrs. Geneva Thrasher Thacker, 82, Cumberland County, KY (1933-2015) She was the matriarch of a large, highly regarded family. She was a native of the Bow Community of Cumberland County, KY, and was a resident of the Hergira Community at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Willie Saul and Malvie Ellie Flowers Thrasher and the widow of Robert "Bob" Thacker. Click on headline for complete obituary with photo(s) Mrs. Geneva Thrasher Thacker, age 82, of the Hegira Community in Cumberland County, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky. Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Thrasher Thacker will be conducted on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Todd Bryant officiating. The family will receive friends from 5pmCT, on Monday, March 2, 2015 until the funeral hour on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery. Mrs. Geneva Thrasher Thacker, 82, Cumberland Co., KY (1933-2015) She was born in the Bow Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky on Monday, February 27, 1933, the daughter of Willie Saul and Malvie Ellie Flowers Thrasher. She died Sunday, March 1, 2015, at the age of 82 years, two days. She a member of the Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church, a seamstress, a quilter, homemaker, a gardener, and a doll collector. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Thacker, whom she married on Friday, September 16, 1955; her son, Billy Joe Thacker; her grandson, Justin Thacker; her brothers and sisters, Lowell Wray, Tessie Watkins, Herbert Thrasher, Bercie Flowers, Joyce Thrasher; her son-in-law, Glen McKee' her step-daughters, Malba Thacker, amd Aline Riddle; her step-grandson, Robert Barger; and her step-great-granddaughter, Melissa Sells.
