Dempsey Keith Anderson, 80, Summer Shade, KY (1934-2015)

He was retired from Caring Spinning Co. and of the Baptist faith. He was a native of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of Summer Shade, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Mildred Anderson and Alvis Anderson. His wife of 41 years, Ruby C. White, survives.

Dempsey Anderson, age 80, of Summer Shade, died Saturday, February 28, 2015, at NHC Health Care in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2015 at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro. Mark Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Leslie Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 3pmCT, and after 7pmCT on Monday until time of services.



Dempsey Keith Anderson, 80, Summer Shade, KY (1934-2015)


Born Tuesday, August 28, 1934 in Cumberland County, KY, he was a son of the late Mildred Anderson and Alvis Anderson. He died Saturday, February 28, 2015, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 80 years, six months.

He was the husband of Ruby C White Anderson who survives. They were married February 24, 1973.

He was retired from Caring Spinning Co. and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include :
  • Sx step daughters

  • One brother: Jimmy Douglas Anderson

  • Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren
  • and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by one step daughter, Helen Faye Jennings and one sister Phyllis Gibbons.
