Janice K. Smith Zimmerman, 72, of Muncie, IN, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Bethel Pointe.

Graveside service for Janice K. Smith Zimmerman will be 3pmCT, Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Smith Memorial Cemetery, Russell County, KY, with Bro. Rick Mann officiating. Visitation for Family at 2:30pmCT Saturday, at the Smith Memorial Cemetery, with burial to follow in the Smith Memorial Cemetery.

She was born Wednesday,m November 4,1942, in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ambrose & Alta Pearl Smith. She died Thursday, February 19, 2015, in Muncie, Delaware County, IN, at the age of 72 years, three months, and 15 days.

She was the widow of Elmer Zimmerman.

She was an insurance agent.

Preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Zimmerman; a brother, Garnett Smith; and two sisters: Ruby and Roxie.

Survivors include:
  • One child: Monica Zimmerman (wife, Alane Freund) and their son, Asher, all of San Francisco, CA

  • One sister: Alice (Andy) Anderson, Michigan

  • Two brothers: Rabon (Sue) Smith, Russell Springs, KY; and Philip (Pat) Smith, Russell Springs, KY
