Mr. William Edward Meadows, Green Co., KY (1933-2015)

He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Green County at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Henry Meadows and Essie Wilson Meadows. His wife of 57 years, Ann Lavern Judd Meadows, survives. He leaves direct and two step living descendants. He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Adair County, KY, and was a lifelong farmer

Mr. William Edward Meadows, 81, of Greensburg, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the l in Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky.

The funeral services for Mr. William Edward Meadows will be conducted at 11amCT, Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Timmy Glass and Bro. Junior Milby will be officiating. ​Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT, Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Tuesday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearer: Mickie Judd, Shane Judd, Norman Judd, Junior Kessler, Robert Thompson, and Mark Wright.

Honorary pallbearers: Luke Meadows , Ethan Meadows , and William Allen Judd.

Mr. William Edward Meadows of Greensburg, Kentucky, was the son of the late Henry Meadows and Essie Wilson Meadows. He was born on October 20, 1933 in Adair County, Kentucky. He departed this life on Friday, February 20, 2015 in Glasgow, Barren County, Kentucky. He was 81 years, and four months of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, and a lifelong farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ann Lavern Judd Meadows having united in marriage on December 28, 1957.

Other survivors include:
  • Three sons and two daughters-in-law: Tony and Sharon Meadows, Dale Meadows, and Tim and Kim Meadows all of Greensburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Luke Meadows and his wife Debbie, and Miranda Meadows all of Columbia, KY; and Ethan Meadows of Greensburg, KY

  • Two step-great-grandchildren: Cody Burkhardt, and Lane Burkhardt

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Meadows was also preceded in death by two brothers: Finis Meadows and R.J. Meadows; and a sister: Shirley Judd.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
