Lewis Henry Phelps, age 66 of Bethelridge, KY, passed away on Monday February 23rd, 2015.

Funeral Services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday February 25th, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY Bro. Allen Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Valley Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held starting at 10amCT/11amET Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.


Lewis Henry Phelps, 66, Casey County, KY (1949-2015)


Lewis Henry Phelps was born in Argyle, KY on Tuesday, February 1, 1949. He was the son of the late Oakley and Martha Godbey Phelps. He died Monday, February 23, 2015, at the age of 66 years, 22 days.

He was a former lumber cutter and of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his spouse Shelia Salyers Phelps, and the following:
  • Four Daughters: Teresa Lewallen and Tiffany Phelps both of Liberty, KY; Lisa Eastham of Russell Springs, KY; and Tonya Phillippe of Windsor, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Three Sisters: Louise Godbey and Shirley Dick both of Bethelridge, KY; and Lillian Dick of Somerset, KY

  • Two brothers: Alvy Phelps of Bethelridge and Ricky Phelps of Science Hill, KY
