Commute to Glasgow aborted at end of Adair County

A Moment from Blizzard of 16 Feb 2015

Back in COLUMBIA, KY (11:17amCT 16 Feb 2015) - Good morning Ed. At 0600 this am the parkway to Glasgow was in good shape for travel, even with the snow apocolypse coming down, making a near white out condition for travel.

There were several snow trucks making the path; however, at the end of Adair County, the path/tracks slowly disappeared and the snow banks screeched on my car making it necessary to turn around and head for home.

I stopped at Walmart and got some additional dog and horse bedding plus apple treats for the horses.

The reward for the crunchy struggle home came from my three horses, with their welcoming trumpets and the beauty of the three, at attention in the blizzard.

They refused their stalls and treats, preferring the snow and remained standing in the storm. I feel fortunate to have captured their moment of Welcome Home. Their barn is open should they decide to go in later. - Celia
