Judge Executive Stephens and Adair Emergency Management have moved into Preparedness Mode with the potential of incoming winter weather
Adair County Judge Executive, Michael Lee Stephens, along with Adair County Emergency Management have moved into a preparedness mode with the potential of incoming winter weather. At 6pmCT, tonight (Sunday) the basement of the County Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY, will be open for anyone who is need of shelter. It is handicap accessible with an elevator being located on the first floor of the Annex. Chairs and tables are available but please bring any medication or other items you might need. Be aware of incoming weather and give yourself plenty of time to move to a safe location. At this time the National Weather Service is predicting 8 to 12 inches of snow for our area but weather patterns may change. Also please remember to check on elderly neighbors and your animals if we do receive this winter storm. A statement will be given later this week on the readiness of Adair County.
