RRW: WRH being a VA clinic can't happen. Makes too much sense

By Ralph Waggener

If we had Westlake Regional Hospital be designated a clinic for vets who could use it and not need to make the 100 mile trip for their medical needs make a lot of sense? Of course it would. And that's most like the reason it can't happen, it makes sense. Of course the VA hospitals for more critical care should stay the same, but the way I see it this would help the Vets in our rural community, help the small hospitals and save energy by not having to make these long trips.

I understand the Veterans who go there are reimbursed for travel, and that costs even more money. Makes sense so it can't be. Just another one of my crazy thoughts! Always out of order, Ralph Roy Waggener
