She was a member of a large, respected Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Thomas and Lyda McGaha Holt. She leaves four direct living descendants.

Linda Holt age 64 years of Columbia, KY passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 8:50amET at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Stanley Watson the clergy officiating. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, in charge of funeral arrangements. Visitation will after 10amCT, Saturday.


Pallbearers: James Holt, Ronnie Holt, David Wilson, Gerald Wilson, John Durham and Tim Robertson.

She was born on Sunday, May 14, 1950 in Columbia, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Thomas and Lyda McGaha Holt. She died Thursday, February 12, 2015, at 8amET, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, KY, at the age of 64 years, eight months, and 29 days.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Tommy Sutton of Jamestown, KY and Harold Sutton of Indiana

  • One daughter: Lisa Michelle Sexton of Somerset, KY

  • Four brothers: C. J. Holt, Dallas Holt and Ronnie Holt of Columbia, KY; and James Holt of Macon, GA

  • Three sisters: Brenda Alexander of Columbia, KY, Mary Ann Wilson of Liberty, KY and Jean Callison of Macon, GA

  • One grandchild

  • Several nieces, nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
