Bobby Dale Wilkinson, Liberty, KY (1960-2015)

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Liberty, Kentucky and was very active with the youth group. Bobby was an aspiring photographer and received an award for one of his entries in a photo contest. He was the son of the late Franklin D. Wilkinson and Phyllis Wilkinson.

On February 7, 2015 Heaven received another Angel for their choir. Bobby Dale Wilkinson went home to be with our Lord, his parents and other family members after a short illness. Bobby was born July 8, 1960 in Fukuoka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. He passed away at the age of 55 years, six months, and 30 days.

The community will be able to visit with Bobby and his family 4pm-8pmCT/5pm-9pmET, on Thursday February 12, 2015 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 Ky Hwy 49, Liberty, KY. The celebration of his life will be on Friday February 13, 2015 at 12pmCT/1pmET, at First Christian Church with a special visitation starting at 9amCT/10amCT, at the First Christian Church, 323 Middleburg Street, Liberty, KY, up to the service time. Burial will take place in Brush Creek Cemetery in Casey County, KY.



Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin D. Wilkinson and Phyllis Wilkinson; a brother, Claude Verl Wilkinson; nephew Johnny Edward Wilkinson II; grandparents, Anna Todd, Claude and Sadie Wilkinson; and several cousins and numerous other family members.

Bobby is survived by the following:
  • A brother: Johnny Edward Wilkinson and wife Bonnie of Kissimmee, Florida

  • A niece: Tonya (Wilkinson) Bryant and husband Phillip Bryant of Commerce, Georgia

  • Nephews: Chad Edward Wilkinson of Tennessee, and Anthony Thacker and wife Sandy of Lucasville, Ohio

  • Three great nieces: Victoria Hicks, Andrea Wilkinson, Jenna Savage

  • Three great nephews: (Nicholas Bryant, Daniel Hicks, Eli Savage

  • and numerous cousins and other family members whom he loved very much
Bobby was soon to be a great-great Uncle in May of 2015 to a little girl which will be named Carlee Renae Hicks. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Liberty, Kentucky and was very active with the youth group. Bobby was an aspiring photographer and did receive an award for one of his entries in a photo contest.

The family asks in lieu of flowers to make all charitable gifts to Bartle Funeral Home, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY.
