Ruth Appleby, 68, of Jamestown, KY passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral Services for Ruth Appleby will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY, at 1pmCT, Friday, February 13, 2015 with Bro. Phillip Miller officiating. Friends may visit after 10amCT, on Friday at the funeral home, Burial in Jamestown City Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.


Ruth Appleby, 68, Russell County, KY (1946-2015)

Ruth was born in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, on October 23, 1946, a daughter of the late Emma (Bell) and Johnny Appleby. She died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 68 years, two months, and 18 days.

She was a homemaker.

Ruth is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Patricia Appleby of Covington, KY; and Beth Appleby of Jamestown, KY

  • One son: Ben Appleby of Jamestown, KY

  • Five sisters: Patty Appleby, Jay Brumley, Betty Chaney, Rose Ball, and Patsy McGowan all of Jamestown, KY

  • Three brothers: Wendell, Kenny, and Keith Appleby, all of Jamestown, KY

  • Several grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Judy Mills, and Brenda Woolum, 1 infant brother Jimmy Appleby.
