Richard Keltner, Adair County, KY (1928-2015)

He was a member of a highly regarded Adair County, KY family. Mr. Keltner was a US Army Korean War veteran, he was retired from General Electric after 33 years of service and was of the Methodist faith. He was the son of the late Garnett and Bessie Compton Keltner, and the widower of Doris Ellen Reliford Keltner. He leaves 5 direct living descendants.

Richard Keltner, age 86 years of the Russell Springs Road, Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:20pmCT, at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Bro. Carlie Riggs and Bro. Scott Allen, the officiating clergy. Interment in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1267 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. The family request visitation after 3pmCT on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Richard Keltner, Adair County, KY (1928-2015)

He was born July 11, 1928 in Gradyville, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Garnett and Bessie Compton Keltner. He died Saturday, February 7, 2015, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 86 years, six months, and 27 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Doris Ellen Reliford Keltner on June 8, 2003 and by one brother, Lawrence Keltner; and one sister, Maxine Smith.

Mr. Keltner was a US Army Korean War veteran, he was retired from General Electric after 33 years of service and was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by:
  • Two sons: Ricky Darrell Keltner of Columbia, KY and Terry Lee Keltner of Berea, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Amber Penick, and husband Luke and Megan Keltner

  • One great grandchild: Kailey Grace Penick
