She was the daughter of the late Herbert Roe & Talitha Ellen Wilson Holtzclaw, and the widow of Jimmy Wilson. She leaves 28 direct living descendants. She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of Somerset, KY, at the time of her death.She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Baptist Church.

Hallie Wilson, 81, of Somerset, KY, formerly of Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Cumberland Nursing & Rehab in Somerset.

Funeral service for Hallie Wilson will be 10amCT, Monday, February 9, 2015, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jim Robertson officiating. Visitation will be after 5:30pmCT, Sunday, February 8, 2015. Burial will be in the New Friendship Cemetery.



Pallbearers: Martin Wesley, Cheston Wilson, Jimmy Kent Wilson, Joe Robert Wilson, Peyton Wilson, and Jackson Wilson.

She was born November 11,1933 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughteer of the late Herbert Roe & Talitha Ellen Wilson Holtzclaw. She die Friday, February 6, 2015, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 81 years, two months, and 26 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wilson; a great grandaughter, Caroline Grace Wilson; a brother, Vernon Holtzclaw; two sisters, Emerine George, Maxine Roy. Survivors include:
  • Seven children: Jimmy Wayne (Joyce) Wilson, Windsor, KY; Mary June (Larry) Wesley, Russell Springs, KY; Johnny Parker Wilson, Russell Springs, KY; Joey Vance (Reva) Wilson, Russell Springs, KY; Jerry Mark Wilson, Russell Springs, KY; Jana Ellen Wilson, Louisville, KY; and Jackey Daryl (Amy) Wilson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren

  • Eight great grandchildren
  • Sister: Earlene Robertson, Russell Springs, KY
