Martha Jane Antle, 84, Russell Co., KY (1930-2015)

She was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Loren & Emma Jane Brockman Skaggs, and the widow of Marvin Ray Antle. She leaves 28 direct living descendants.

Martha Jane Antle, 84, of Jamestown, Ky, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Funeral service for Martha Jane Antle will be 1pmCT, Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Wayne Keith and Bro. Bodie Emerson officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery.


She was born May 14, 1930 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Loren & Emma Jane Brockman Skaggs. She died Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the age of 84 years, eight months, and 10 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Ray "Chicken" Antle and 7 siblings: William "Mutt" Skaggs, Clarence Elbert "Critt" Skaggs, Maggie Weston, Ottis Lee "Crickett" Skaggs, May Wooldridge, James Wesley "Buck" Skaggs, and Ed Skaggs.

Survivors include
  • Four children: Jimmy (Linda) Antle, Dunnville, KY; Harold (Peggy) Antle, Rineyville, KY; Jennifer Sue (Ron) Wise, Campbellsville, KY; Kimberly Ann Swords, Jamestown
  • Seven Grandchildren
  • Fifteen Great grandchildren
  • Two Great great grandchildren
  • One sister: Maude Wooldridge, Jamestown, Ky
