COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson softball team is the favorite to capture the Mid-South Conference regular-season title in 2015, according to the MSC Preseason Coaches' Poll released on Friday by conference officials.

The Blue Raiders, who have won at least a share of the regular-season title the past five seasons and advanced to the NAIA World Series last year, received 49 total voting points from the conference coaches including seven of eight first-place votes.

Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Georgetown (Ky.) is second in the balloting with 41 voting points. The Tigers captured the MSC Tournament title in 2014.

Campbellsville (Ky.) is third with 38 voting points and the final first-place vote. Cumberland (Tenn.) is fourth with 32 points followed by Shawnee State (Ohio) with 24 points.

St. Catharine (Ky.) (20 points), Cumberlands (Ky.) 12 points and Pikeville (Ky.) (8 points) round out the poll.
