Johnnie Lee Robinson, 71, departed this life Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of seventy-one years, ten months and twenty-one days.

Service will be at Mt. Union Baptist Church in Green County, KY, at 11amCT, Thursday, January 22, 2015 The wake and visitation will be 5pmCT until 8pmCT, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 and after 7amCT, Thursday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY. The officiating ministers will be Rev. Mike Ash, Eulogy, with Rev. Andre' Calhoun, Master of Ceremony

Johnnie Lee Robinson was born February 24, 1943 in Anderson, Anderson County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Tommy and Hattie Robinson. He departed this life Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY, having attained the age of 71 years, 10 months and 21 days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Union Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by one son: Roy Robinson. He was a United States Army Veteran, retiring after 20 years of service. He was also a chef. He Is survived by his wife Vernice Embry Robinson, Campbellsville, KY and the the following:
  • One step-son: Allen Golder of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two step-daughters: Julita Johnson of Louisville, KY; and Debora Golder of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Five brothers and four sisters-in-law: Anthony and Jackie Gray and Charles and Gladys Robinson of Cincinnati, Ohio; Bennie and Louise Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; Joe Robinson of Madison, KY; and James and Regina Robinson of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Two sisters: Evelyn Dillingham and Essie Robinson of Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Two grandchildren: Shulita and Barry Golder

  • And two great grandchildren
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, plus a host of other relatives and friends.
