There will be NO SCHOOL in the following Districts for today, Tue 13 Jan 2015:
  • Adair County School District. NO SCHOOL today because of Black Ice in the Sparksville & Breeding and other higher elevations. - Alan W. Reed, Superintendent.
  • No Adair Tenco transportation today, January 13, 2015 - Amanda McCloud.
  • Casey County School District NO SCHOOL Today because of Black Ice. - Marion Sowders, Superintendent.
  • Russell County School District NO SCHOOL Today because of Black Ice. - Michael Ford, Superintendent.
SCHOOLS ARE IN SESSION today in Green County, Campbellsville, and Taylor County School Districts. Buses are already on the Roads. - LARRY SMITH, FM 92.7 The Wave. SCHOOL in SESSION, but on one hour delay:
  • Metcalfe County School District on one-hour delay. We keep you posted when/if confirmed

A TRAVELERS ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CT/ 9 AM EST TUESDAY MORNING FOR PORTIONS OF EAST-CENTRAL AND SOUTH-CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

SOME VERY LIGHT FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA EARLY THIS MORNING. THIS FREEZING DRIZZLE COMBINED WITH SURFACE TEMPERATURES JUST BELOW FREEZING WILL RESULT IN ICY SPOTS DEVELOPING ON AREA ROADWAYS. IN ADDITION...LEFT OVER MOISTURE FROM MONDAYS RAINFALL MAY FREEZE ON AREA ROADWAYS RESULTING IN BLACK ICE.
BRIDGES...OVERPASSES...AND SHELTERED HILLSIDE AND VALLEY LOCATIONS ARE MOST AT RISK.

ICY PATCHES CAN BE VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE ON WET ROADS...ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. USE CAUTION IF DRIVING TONIGHT OR EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.
