Wayne Martin, age 84, of Edmonton, KY, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton, KY. He was the son of the late Guy and Sally Hayes Martin.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT Tuesday, January 12, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3pmCT until 8pmCT Monday, January 11, 2015 and after 9amCT Tuesday at the funeral home.



He was a member of the Plesant Grove Presbyterian Church and a retired bus driver.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Curtis Martin of Edmonton, KY; Gary Wayne Martin of Nashville

  • One daughter: Diane Perkins Burks of Edmonton, KY

  • Two brothers: Edgar and Bobby Martin both of Edmonton, KY

  • One sister Joyce Vibbert of Glasgow, KY
  • BR>
  • Two grandchildren: Dwayne Perkins and Alisa Perkins.

  • One great grandchild: Briana Perkins
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Fern Martin; two brothers, Dee and Kenneth Martin; and two sisters, Runell Deck and Juanita Franklin.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 E Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
