LWC Wrestling set to compete in NWCA NAIA National Duals Blue Raider Wrestling at NWCA NAIA National Duals Friday, January, 8, 2015, 8amCT at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum 4000 Parnell Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46805 By Tyler Scott COLUMBIA, KY - The 12th-ranked Lindsey Wilson wrestling team travels to Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Jan. 9-10 to compete in the National Wrestling Coaches Association NAIA National Duals. The field features 56 teams comprised of the NAIA, NCAA Division II, III and NJCAA. Other NAIA schools competing in the event are top-ranked Grand View (Iowa), No. 6 Indiana Tech, No. 15 Baker (KS), No. 2 Southern Oregon, No. 10 Missouri Valley and conference foes (RV) Cumberland (TN), No. 4 Campbellsville (KY) and (RV) Cumberlands (KY). In the team's most recent competition, the Blue Raiders defeated NCAA Division II member Shorter (GA) 30-19 on January 3. Joe Cozart and Jake Maupin led the way for Lindsey Wilson each winning their respective matches with pins. Cozart won in the 157-pound weight class to give the team a 12-10 lead, and Maupin secured a win in the 197-pound weight class giving the Blue Raiders a 30-16 lead. The Blue Raiders open the event against Missouri Valley. The winner of the match will face the victor of Grand View and Hannibal-LaGrange (MO).
