Helm family once owned Wolf Creek Dam property

Larry Smith postcard a window on great Cumberland River family. There's no trace of the Helm post office today, but Ovalene Helm was member of family which previously owned property not only of Wolf Creek Dam site, but twenty miles of river property along Cumberland River

Robert Cummng writes:
The Helm, Ky post office mentioned is another obscure hint from the distant past. Located adjacent Coe Creek on Helm Landing Rd in the Cumberland River valley three miles upstream of Creelsboro, the Helm post office was once an important connection to the outside world, in the Jackman Bottom area, but today no trace of it exists. Miss Ovalene Humble in the postcard was an ancestor of the Humble family who previously owned the present site of Wolf Creek Dam including twenty miles of river bottom property along Cumberland River. - Robert Cummngi
