He died Sunday, January 4, 2015, in Burkesville, KY, at the age of 80 years, nine months, and nine days. He was a member of Marrowbone Baptist Church and a former construction worker and farmer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Anderson Blythe, and one son, Gary Blythe. Survivors include:
