Francis Simpson, of Casey County, KY passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was 64.

Funeral services are at 1pmCT/2pmET, Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Casey Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the funeral home



Frances Simpson, 64, Casey County, KY (1950-2014)

Born Saturday, September 2, 1950 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of Joann Hoskins Harris of Stanford, KY; and the late Lelious Buis. She died Sunday, December 28, 2014, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 64 years, three months, and 26 days.

She was a former Deputy Jailer at the Casey County Jail. Francis enjoyed yard sales and collecting Precious Moments.

  • Her husband: Jeff Simpson of Liberty, KY

  • Three sons: Michael (and Shelia) Franklin of Liberty, KY; Lucas Andrew Simpson of Lexington, KY; and Matthew Todd (and Jessica) Simpson of Elizabethtown, KY

  • One daughter: Amanda Carol Simpson of Liberty, KY

  • Six grandchildren

  • A great-grandchild

  • Five brothers: Ricky Buis of Liberty, KY; Clinton (and Sherry) Harris of Stanford, KY; Boyd (and Shelly) Harris of Stanford, KY; Johnnie (and Kim) Harris of Lancaster, KY; and Billy (and Susan) Harris of Stanford, KY

  • Five sisters: Kay (and Jimmy) Carey, Phyllis (and Rick) Humes, Jeannie (and Jerry) Siler, Vonda (and Eddie) Young, and Bonnie (and Paul) Todd all of Stanford, KY
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a sister, Lelious Faye Means.
