Mrs. Janice James New, Science Hill, KY (1944-2014) She was of the Methodist Faith and grew up attending the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Oakwood Intermediate Care Facility in Somerset, Kentucky. She was a native of Pulaski County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Fred & Hazel Adams James. She leaves 13 direct living descendants, including a son, Mark C. New of Burkesvile, KY. Ms. Janice James New, age 70, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 suddenly and peacefully at her residence in Science Hill, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Hwy 1676 & Norwood/Mt Zion Road, Science Hill, Kentucky. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Science Hill, Kentucky. The family will receive friends 2pm-8pmCT/3pm-9pmET, on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Morris-Hislope Funeral Home, 5900 Highway 27, Science Hill, Kentucky. The body will lie in state at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Monday, December 29, 2014 after 8pmCT/9pmET, until the funeral hour. Mrs. Janice James New, Science Hill, KY (1944-2014) She was born in the Mt. Zion Community of Pulaski County, Kentucky on Sunday, April 23, 1944. She was the daughter of Fred and Hazel Adams James. She died Thursday, December 25, 2014, in Science Hill, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 70 years, eight months, and two days. She was of the Methodist Faith and grew up attending the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Oakwood Intermediate Care Facility in Somerset, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, John Perry and Lydia Crow James, and Millard and Grace Dick-Eastham Adams; her brothers, Charles Dee James, Lloyd Brent James, Rogene James, Narval Leo James, and her brother-in-law, Steve Cassada.
