Taylor Countian injured in Monday evening collision Northbound 2006 Toyota leaves roadway, strikes parked 1995 Ford Van Click on headline for story with photo By Ofc. Josh Brockman Columbia Police Department, Chief, Jason Cross A Taylor County man arrested for DUI as a result of a motor vehicle collision in the limits of Columbia, KY. On Monday, December 22, 2014, Columbia Police Department responded to a dispatch from Adair County 911 of an injury collision occurring at the intersection of Campbellsville Street and Lindsey Street. Upon officers arrival it was found that Tommy Dowell of Taylor County was operating a 2006 Toyota traveling north on Campbellsville Street when he left the roadway and struck a parked 1995 Ford van which was unoccupied. Dowell was treated on scene by Adair County EMS and transported to Westlake Regional Hospital for additional care. Alcohol was considered a contributing factor in the collision and Dowell was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle under the influence, 1st offense. This story was posted on 2014-12-24 13:18:40
