COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson (KY) sits atop the Mid-South Conference President's Cup standings following the fall season competition, conference officials announced on Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

Lindsey Wilson athletics lead the season-long chase with 53 points after completion of the men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball seasons.

Points are awarded based on the final regular season standings for each conference-sanctioned sport. The regular season champion in each sport receives 10 points with second place receiving nine points, etc. At the conclusion of the 2014-15 season, the top six male and top six female team finishes for each institution will generate the institution's overall totals.

Campbellsville University is second in the standings with 44 points, Georgetown (KY) is third with 41 points and Shawnee State (Ohio) is fourth with 39.5 points.

Completing the President's Cup fall standings is Cumberlands (KY) in fifth with 37.5 points, Cumberland (TN) in sixth with 34.5 points, Pikeville (KY) in seventh with 26.5 points, St. Catharine (KY) in eighth with 26 points and Life (GA) in ninth with five points.

Lindsey Wilson captured four regular season conference titles during the fall while Shawnee State collected the final two championships.

Lindsey Wilson football (6-0), men's soccer (6-0-1), women's soccer (6-0-1) and volleyball (14-0) all won their respective championships during regular season play within the conference. Shawnee State swept both the MSC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships during the fall.

The winter edition of the MSC President's Cup standings - which will include men's and women's basketball, men's and women's bowling, cheerleading, men's and women's swimming and wrestling - is scheduled to be announced in early March. News from Lindsey Wilson College
