Billy Joe Breeding, Taylor County, KY (1920-2014)

He was highly regarded citizen of South Central Kentucky. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of his death. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Campbellsville, KY. He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a retired co-owner of Floy's Apparel with his wife, Rosalene, and a businessman. He leaves eight direct living descendants.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Dr. Paul Patton and Dr. Neil Salvaterra. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Brookside Mauseleum, W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY.



Billy Joe Breeding, Taylor County, KY (1920-2014)


Billy Joe Breeding of Campbellsville, KY was the son of the late Cassius Breeding and Emma Thomas Breeding. He was born March 20, 1920, in Adair County, Kentucky. He died a Sunday, December 21, 2014, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 94 years, nine months, and one day.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He was a retired co-owner of Floy's Apparel with his wife, Rosalene, and a businessman.

He united in marriage to Rosalene Burress June 14, 1942. She preceded him in death April 14, 2010.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son-in-law: Hugh "Tuddy" Howell and wife, Faye of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Bill Howell and wife, Kim of Prospect, KY; and Michelle Ellis and husband, Richard of Springfield, Tennessee


  • Four great-grandchildren: Amber Ellis Butler and husband, Michael, Ricky Ellis and wife, Erinn, Ryan Howell and Kate Howell

  • Two great-great-granddaughters: Fallon Ellis and Kaitlin Butler

  • and many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Breeding Howell July 19, 2001; a brother, Sam Breeding; and a brother in infancy.
