James Curtis Williams, 85, of Jackson, Michigan (formerly of Russell County, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Michigan.

Funeral service for James Curtis Williams will be at 11amCT, Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Jim Spivey officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. Special music will be by Donna Willis.

He was born August 9, 1929 in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Bascom Elvert & Nellie Lou Bailey Williams. He died Thursday, December 18, 2014 in Michigan, at the age of 85 years, four months, and 9 days.

He was a carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Powell Williams; two brothers, Charles "Bootsie" Williams, Bascom Williams, Jr. and a sister, Vivian Justine Stapp.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Barry Curtis Williams; aand James Thomas Williams, both of Michigan

  • Two grandaughters: Wendy Iona Scheffler, Pamela Jean Pawlowski

  • Three great grandchildren: Faith Erinn Scheffler, Austin Curtis Sheffler; and Kyler Scott Pawlowski

  • Three sisters: Maultie Jean (Getha) West, Russell Springs, KY; Lena Mae (Harry) Riley, Louisville, Esther Joyce (Dedan) Hadley, Jamestown

  • Brother-in-law: Charles Stapp
