Eugene Frederick Land, Taylor County, KY (1924-2014) He was a member of the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Scottsville, KY. He served as Commissioner of Labor in the Commonwealth of Kentucky under two governors and devoted his life to the betterment of the working man. He also served as an International Representative and Lobbyist of the United Auto Workers (UAW) in Kentucky and Indiana. He served his country honorable in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He was the son of the late Guy and Beulah Shreve Land. His wife, Lavelle Land, survives.
