Ray Booker, Cumberland Co., KY (1930-2014)

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving two tours of duty in the Korean War and two tours of duty in the Vietnam War, while with the 7th Calvary. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 23 years. He was a native of Cumberland County and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of he Caleb and Eula Melton Booker. His wife, Evelyn Booker, and three children survive.

Ray Booker age 84 of Burkesville, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his home.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11amCT, at Living Word Assembly of God, 1515 Albany Road, Burkesville, KY with Bro. Dana Coverstone officiating. Burial to follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 W Highway 80, Nancy, KY, with military honors. Family requests visitation on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 9amCT until service time at 11amCT at Living Word Assembly of God.

Ray Booker, Cumberland Co., KY (1930-2014)

He was born on Monday, September 22, 1930 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Caleb and Eula Melton Booher. He died Tuesday, December 16, 2014, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 84 years, two months, and 24 days.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving two tours of duty in the Korean War and two tours of duty in the Vietnam War, while with the 7th Calvary. He served his country in the U.S. Army for 23 years. Survivors include:
  • His wife: Evelyn Booker of Burkesville, KY

  • Three children: Chuck Booker, Madison, IN; Eula Booker, Vevay, IN; and Alice Booker, Madison, IN.
