Strands of RED and BLUE Chrismas lights needed for float project We are asking anyone in the community that would be willing to let us borrow their lights (maybe even in memory of a veteran) to please bring them by the Community Voice newspaper office, 316 Public Square, or C. Robertson Photography Studio, Public Square, Columbia, KY, on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, or you can contact me, Tiffany Kessler, at 270-250-3778 and we'll make other arrangements to pick them up. TIFFANY KESSLER By Tiffany Kessler We need your help on a community project! A group of volunteers are assembling a float for our Adair County veterans to ride on during Christmas in Columbia this Saturday! The WWII veterans will be leading the parade and this float will be behind them carrying our other veterans. We have a creative project in mind for the float, but are in desperate need of RED or BLUE strands of Christmas lights. We are asking anyone in the community that would be willing to let us borrow their lights (maybe even in memory of a veteran) to please bring them by the Community Voice newspaper office, 316 Public Square, or C. Robertson Photography Studio, Public Square, Columbia, KY, on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, or you can contact me, Tiffany Kessleer, at 270-250-3778 and we'll make other arrangements to pick them up. Your lights will be tagged, handled with care, and returned as soon as possible after the parade. Let's show our veterans how much they are appreciated! Also, we would LOVE for as many veterans that can to ride on the float, and if there's too many we'll gladly bring in additional vehicles! If you are a veteran and want to participate please contact Joe Hare at 270-634-0285. Thank you! - Tiffany Kessler This story was posted on 2014-12-02 02:20:53
