Dual L. Godby, 72, Russell County, KY (1942-2014)

He was a member of a highly regarded family. He was a native of Windsor, KY, and a resident of Elizabethtown, KY, at he time of his death. He was the son of the late Rufus and Mariah Emma Baker Godby. His wife, Clemma Jean Eatham Godby, survives. He leaves three direct living desendants. He was a Veteran of US Navy and was retired from Ford Motor Company.

Dual L. Godby, 72, of Elizabethtown, Ky (formerly of Russell County) died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services for Dual L. Godby will be 1pmCT, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel. 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with Elder Paul Roy officiating. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Saturday, November 22, 2014. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery.




Pallbearers: Eric Godby, Butch Foley, Joey Grey, Jamie Richardson, Sherbert VanMeter, and David Eastham.

Honorary Pallbearer: Trenton Godby.

He was born Monday, May 4, 1942 in Windsor, KY. He was the son of the late Rufus and Mariah Emma Baker Godby. He died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at he age of 72 years, six month, and 15 days.

He was a Veteran of US Navy and was retired from Ford Motor Company.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers; Carl, Paul, Merle, Elwyn "Hoss", and Leon Godby and one sister, Elva Russell

Survivors include his wife, Clemma Jean Eastham Godby, Elizabethtown, KY, and the following:
  • Son: Mark Wayne (Tracie) Godby, Leitchfield, KY

  • Daughter: Melissa Jo Sprague, Russell Springs, KY

  • Grandson: Trenton Godby, Leitchfield, KY

  • Two sisters: Thelma Foley, and Lafern Bernard, both of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Brother: Noel B. (Barb) Godby, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters-in-law: Annette Godby, Kings Mill, Ohio; and Valeria Godby, Russell Springs, KY
