He was a native of Libery, KY and a resident of the city at the time of his death. He was the on of Annabelle Downs Emerson, who survives, and he late Noah Wheeler Denson. He was former welder with Caldwell Tanks.

Lonnie "Gene" Denson, age 66, of Liberty, KY, passed away on Sunday November 16, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral Services were held at 12pmCT/1pmET, Wednesday November 19, 2014 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY 49, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Phillip Smallwood officiating. Burial is in the Tapscott Cemetery.

He was born in Liberty, KY on April 3, 1948 to Annabelle Downs Emerson of Liberty and the late Noah Wheeler Denson. He died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at the age of 66 years, seven months, and 13 days.

He was former welder with Caldwell Tanks.

  • One Daughter: Tonya Denson of Liberty, KY

  • One step-daughter: Amy Thomas of Liberty, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Zachary and Morgan Brown

  • One step-grandchild: Corey McCawley

  • One step-great grandchild: Branson McCawley

  • Three Sisters: Lucille Byrd of Liberty, Geraldine Meeks of Harrodsburg, KY, and Anita Denson of Liberty, KY

  • Two brothers: Shirley and Garland Denson both of Liberty, KY
