Ten Blue Raiders earn 1st Team All Mid-South Conference honors Lindsey Wilson's Branden Cresap Player of the Year, Allen Cooks Freshman of the Year and Coach Chris Oliver named MSC East Coach of the Year. A total of 10 Blue Raiders earned First Team All-MSC selections including, Joseph Fawns, Emilio Gonzalez, Chaz Barnes, Cortez Barber, Cresap, Caleb Keeton, Corrion Cooper, Andrew Wahl, Michael Brooks and Cooks. Five Blue Raiders earned Second Team honors including, Logan Pruitt, Josh Haney, Sam Mapa, Treon Hill and Eric Shaw By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - Branden Cresap was named Mid-South Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Year, Allen Cooks was named MSC East Freshman of the Year and head coach Chris Oliver earned the Ron Finley MSC East Coach of the Year honor, the conference office released on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. The Blue Raiders earned 10 total All-MSC East First Team selections and had five Second Team members. The 10 First Team selections and 15 total selections are the most by any school in the MSC East Division. The individual awards and the all-conference teams are selected by a vote of the East Division's coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. Cresap earns second-straight MSC Offensive Player of Year honor Cresap earns his second-straight MSC East Offensive Player of the Year honor after earning Co-Player of the Year honors last season. The senior quarterback has thrown for 2,793 yards and 30 touchdowns with just eight interceptions all year. He is averaging 253.9 passing yards per game and ranks fifth in the NAIA with a pass efficiency rating of 151.5. Cresap also earned First Team All-MSC honors for the third time in his career. Cooks earns MSC Offensive Freshman of the Year Cooks earned MSC East Offensive Freshman of the Year honors as wide receiver. The Northport, Alabama, native has caught 11 passes for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also serves on punt and kickoff return duties, compiling 11 punt returns for 74 yards this season. Cooks has returned 14 kicks for 440 yards on the year, giving him an average of 31.4 yards per return, the third-highest in the NAIA. Cooks also earned All-MSC First Team honors as a return specialist. Chris Oliver is in fifth season at helm of Blue Raider football Oliver, in his fifth season at the helm of the Blue Raider football program, has led Lindsey Wilson to a 9-2 overall record and captured the MSC East Division title with a perfect 6-0 record in conference play. The division title is the first in the program history and the Blue Raiders are making their first-ever appearance in the NAIA Football Championship Series.
