Go or No Go: No School in Marion or Taylor Counties

By Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE, FM 99.9 the Big Dawg

Larry Smith, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications, called at 4:55amCT/5:55amET, Mon 17 Nov 2014 to announce:

No Go: Closed due to weather
  • No School in Marion County School District
  • No School in Taylor County School District, including Headstart
  • No Headstart in Campbellsville Independent School District. ALL Other grades WILL BE IN SESSION in Campbellsville Independent School District
GO! Schools on Regular Schedule:
  • Adair County School District classes are on regular schedule today
  • Campellsville Independent School District classes (except Headstart) are on regular schedule today
  • Green County School District classes are on regular schedule today
  • Russell County School District classes are on regular schedule today
Smith said that areas north of Taylor County are experiencing really bad winter weather. In Taylor County itself, the winter storm has affected roads in the very north, particularly around the Hibernia area near LaRue County, but wasn't expecting, at the time, further closings in the area - but stay tuned. In Columbia, there is a steady cold rainfall but the temperature is 35 degrees F.
