Lillie Mae Dobson, 99, Green Co., KY (1915-2014)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a native of Green County, KY, and a resident at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Granville and Lillie Bennett Marcum and the widow of Eli Dobson. She leaves six direct living descendants.

Mrs. Lillie Mae Dobson departed this life Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the Golden Living Center-Green Hill in Greensburg, KY.

There will be a service 10amCT Friday at the Campbellsville Memorial Garden Mausoleum, 700 Old US 68, Campbellsville, KY.

She was born March 25, 1915 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter late Granville and Lillie Bennett Marcum. She departed this life, Wednesday, November 12, 2014, in Greensburg, Green County, KY, having attained the age of ninety-nine years, seven months and seventeen days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eli Dobson; son and daughter-in-law, Ledford Wayne and Betty Dobson; brother, Boyce Marcum, half- brother, Thurman Marcum; and step-mother, Grace Marcum.

She is survived by the following:
  • Three grandsons: Howell, Blake and Brad Dobson of Bowling Green, KY

  • Special niece and great niece: Sarah Henderson and Peggy Frank of Greensburg, KY

  • and three great grandchildren.
