Cody James Strode, age 20, of Edmonton, KY, died Tuesday November 4, 2014 as a result of an auto accident in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be 1pmCT Saturday, 8 Nov 2014, at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Strode Family Cemetery. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT Friday, 7 Nov 2014at the funeral home.

He is survived by his parents James and Carla Strode, of Decatur, Illinois, and the following:
  • Daughter: Creo Rae Syra of Edmonton, KY

  • Three sisters: Jennifer N. Strode of Columbia, KY; Trenda Smith of Clinton, Illinois; and Kelsey Strode of Atwood, Illinois

  • Paternal grandmother: Margaret Strode of Decatur, Illinois

  • Maternal grandparents: George Thomas and Nora Fraze of Collinsville, Illinois; and Tena and Nick Combs of Atwood, Illinois

  • Two nephews: Caleb and Christian

  • Ten nieces: Brianna, Kayla, Jaylyn, Arianna, Abriel, Jayden, Lainey, Kaylin, Karmyn, and Alivia

  • Three uncles: Greg and wife Kenda Fraze; and Scott and wife Tresa Strode, both of Decatur, Illinois; and Jason Combs of Atwood Illinois

  • Three aunts: Diana, wife of Randell Glass of Edmonton, KY; Gail, wife of Wendell Barrett of Decatur Illinois; and Katrina, wife of Nathan Strange of West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather James Strode Sr.; great grandparents David and Lois DeBolt; Harry and Virginia Fraze; and Rita Beaman.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
