At a special called meeting of the Columbia-Adair County Economic Development Authority on Friday, October 31, 2014, the decision was made to hire Holly E. Grimsley to fill the newly created part-time posiion of Columbia-Adair County Economic Ambassador.

The initial priorities of this position will be three fold and will include:


  1. Visiting with management of large and small existing businesses in Adair Couny to discover future goals and explore oppotuniies for EDA assistance to strengthen and expand their businesses
  2. develop a panel of business, educational, government, and community leaders from throughout Columbia and Adair County to begin an ongoing dialogue of community collaboration for economic growh, and
  3. to build a srong relationship with regional and state economic development entities and representaives

Ex officio non-voting, Adair County Judge Ann Melton, Columbia Mayor Mark D. Harris.
