His wife, Judith Irvin, is the former Judy Wallace of Edmonton, KY. He leaves 10 direct living descendants. Michael was retired from Kentucky State Department of Social Insurance and was a member of Russell Springs United Methodist Church.

Michael Stephens Irvin, 71, of Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 a this home.

Funeral service for Michael Stephens Irvin were 1pmCT, Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Jim Kingry & Bro. Dan Flanagan officiating. Visitation was 6pm-9pmCT, Sunday, October 26, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial is in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Grandchildren served as pallbearers. Special music waas rendered by Dean & Sheila McKinley

He was born Sunday, May 16, 1943 in Danville, Boyle County, KY. He was the son of the late Lathos Byron & Geraldean T. Stephens Irvin. He died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY at the age of 71 years, five months, and six days.

Michael was retired from Kentucky State Department of Social Insurance and was a member of Russell Springs United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Irvin, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Three sons: Wally (Beryl) Irvin, Bowling Green, KY; Joe Michael (Tracy) Irvin, Russell Springs, KY; and Byron (Kimberly) Irvin, Russell Springs, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Nathan, Nick, Wes, Emma Grace, Rebecca Jo, Byron Michael, and Jacob Irvin.

  • Two sisters: Vickie Jo Irvin, Russell Springs, KY; and Alisa (Daryl) Guffey, Mt. Juliet, TN
  • Step father: Alonzo Harris, Russell Springs, KY
