Ruby Nadine Wethington, Adair Co. KY native, Casey Co., KY (1938-2014)

Mrs. Wethington was a housewife and she enjoyed canning, sewing, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Allie Hatfield Bedwell and the widow of Lewis Wethington. She leaves 34 direct living descendants.

Ruby Nadine Wethington, of Yosemite, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. She was 76.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Friday, October 31, 2014, at Creston Baptist Church, 8641 W KY 70, Liberty, KY, with Bro CT Breeding officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Thursday, October 30, 2014, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY; and after 12pmCT/1pmET, on Friday at the Church. Burial will follow in the Old Antioch Cemetery, Casey County, KY.



Pallbearers will be Barry Lutz, Charlie Darrell Wethington, Robert Dotson, Gary Brown, John Brown, and Roger Wethington. Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll Dean Elliott, Steven Elliott, and George Brown.

Born Tuesday April 19, 1938, in Adair Co., KY, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Allie Hatfield Bedwell. She died Tuesday, October 28, 2014, in Danville, Boyle Co., KY, at the age of 76 years, six months, and nine days.

Mrs. Wethington was a housewife and she enjoyed canning, sewing, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include the following:
  • Her sons: Roger Dale Wethington of Campbellsville, KY; and Charlie Darrell Wethington of Adair Co., KY

  • Daughters: Allie Dean Wethington of Yosemite, KY; Carol Sue Dotson of Campbellsville, KY; Connie Lutz of Sadieville, KY; and Jennifer Elliott Wethington of Casey Co., KY

  • Thirteen grandchildren
  • Fifteen great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewis Wethington; son, Ralph Stephen Wethington; daughters, Barbara Kay Wethington, Retha May Wethington, and Freida Ann Wethington; brothers, Carl and Eugene Bedwell; and sisters, Bessie Wethington, Faye Payton, and Delois Whitis.
