See the sight? Vicky Pike, Friday, on the Square? There was a valid reason or it. So, please, please, do not tell if you saw Miss Victoria, in her hot pink Fred Flintstone era house shoes and pink housecoat walking the streets of Columbia. It was in the course of being a good Samaritan, helping fellow Democrat Pat search for a lost cellphone misplaced in the course of serving Democracy at the Adair Annex. In the urgency of the search, she wore that outfit, more outlandish than any she had ever worn on Halloween. And the phone still lost. Please don't breathe a word about the outfit. And please call 270-384-3348, if you find that phone. Click on headline for complete story. No photo even if we had one. By Victoria Pike While on our way to learn all the rules and regulations of being an election officer, my friend Pat lost her cell phone. We parked three spaces from the annex near fellow Democrat Wid's barber shop. She didn't realize it was gone until later in the night. I was already in my bed clothes but hopped in the trusty little Nissan and headed to the square. On the first drive thru I didn't see anything so I enlisted one of Columbia's finest who was securing the square at the time and we proceeded to look for Miss Pat's phone. No luck in locating the phone. If anyone happened to find it, please give me a call at 270-384-3348. Thank you. I know Ed would have loved to have a picture of me in my hot pink Fred Flintstone era house shoes and pink housecoat walking the streets of Columbia. I even commented to the officer I had never walked the square in such a get up even at Halloween. --Victoria Pike This story was posted on 2014-10-26 04:34:51
