LWC Women's Cross Country takes 2nd at Midway Invitational Next - Blue Raider Women's Cross Country at Mid-South Conference Championships Saturday, November, 8, 2014, at Earl Thomas Conley Riverside Park Washington, OH 45663 By Tyler Scott MIDWAY, KY – The Lindsey Wilson women’s cross country finished second with 45 total points and a total time of 1:47:11.42 at the 5K Midway College Invitational in Midway, Kentucky, on Saturday, November 25, 2014. Maria Cozzens led the squad with a second place finish in a time of 20:09.61. Elena Oslund crossed the finish line in fourth with a time of 20:32.66. Mia Cornette and Abbie Chandler finished in 11th and 13th, respectively. Cornette finished with a time of 21:52.62, while Chandler finished at 22:16.43. Breana Conway placed 16th with a time of 22:20.10 and Sara Canada came in 17th with a time of 22:38.26. Baylee Shepherd crossed the finish line in 31st with a time of 24:32.98, while Angela Herbig placed 32nd in a time of 24:42.51. Kassidy Edwards and Katie Wicke rounded out the team placing 43rd and 48th, respectively. Edwards finished in a time of 27:06.78, while Wicke crossed the finish line in a time of 29:26.65. Katy Falkenburg of Asbury (KY) won the race 24 seconds ahead of Cozzens in a time of 19:45.65. Justine Vonderheide from Asbury came in third place in a time of 20:11.97. Asbury took home the title with 24 total points and total team time of 1:43:31.05 and Indiana-University East totaled 69 points and a team time of 1:52:38.17. Ohio Christian University and Union (Ky.) rounded out the field placing fourth and fifth, respectively. Ohio Christian scored 128 total points and finished in a time of 2:18:16.82, while Union scored 129 total points and finished in a time of 2:04:57.95.
