The Employer seeking Aluminum Meg welder here on Columbia Magazine will soon not have to look any further than the Adair County High School.

Students are studying and performing hands-on daily lessons under the direction of Master Welder Barney Taylor during classes at ACHS.

After completing their career path with Mr. Taylor they will be KY DOT Certified Welders. I am proud to say my son Dusty Claiborne will be one of them.

Adair County Schools new Vocational Building is almost completed and has 16 welding stalls that are state of the art. Until completion Dusty and his fellow classmates meet in the Ag shop where the ACHS Agriculture Department has been graciously sharing equipment until the new vocational building is completed. - Shamarie Claiborne
