Maxine Harmon, Adair Co., KY native (1931-2014)

She was born in Columbia, KY, and was a resident of Louisville, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Elsie Rae Whitherspoon Grant, and he widow of Robert Harmon, her husband of 45 years. She loved gardening, cooking and baking.

Maxine Harmon, age 83 of Louisville, went to be with her heavenly Father, on Monday, October 20, 2014.

A celebration of Maxine's life will held in the pavilion of Resthaven Memorial Park 4400 Bardstown Road. Louisville, KY, at 9amCT/10amET Thursday October 23, 2014, with visiting 1 hour prior at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven.

Maxine was born in Columbia, Adair County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Elsie Rae Whitherspoon Grant on July 30, 1931.She died Monday, October 20, 2014, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 83 years, two months, and 21 days.

Maxine loved gardening, cooking and baking.

Maxine is survived by the following:
  • Her son: Barry

  • and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert Harmon. Heartfelt expressions of sympathy may be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation.
